punman Pillar of the Community Canada 849 Posts	Posted 09/27/2017 12:02 am I usually collect 1937 onwards in Canadian coins but this one fell into my hands recently. Any idea on grade? It seems pretty beat up. Would a dealer pay any more than melt value for it? Report this Post to the Staff

oriole Pillar of the Community Canada 5255 Posts	Posted 09/27/2017 5:23 pm I disagree. According to Charlton, G-4 means that all portrait detail is worn away. In this example, you can see some of the crown band, and details in the robe, so in my mind it is a VG-8. CCN Trends says $20 in G4 and $35 in VG8. In practice though, I understand that it would be a tough sell at anywhere close to trends. Report this Post to the Staff
