oggy New Member United Kingdom 9 Posts	Posted 10/01/2017 10:05 am This is a bit of a strange one for me. Weight is correct. It is likely silver. DIAMETER is a little too large, and THICKNESS is a little too thin. Also has massive rims. Doesn't look like a modern one to me, as it was rescued from a 1940's~ mount and the fonts are correct. I've read some of swamperbobs posts on them, but can't seem to identify the origin of the forgery. Report this Post to the Staff

It's larger and thinner than all the other 8R's that I have, and larger and thinner than my GB crowns. So whilst it has the same total volume, it seems different. (I don't have a digital microscope yet so can't give exact measurements) - If you stack it on top of the others, you see the size difference. Am I wrong that they should be around 38mm? Here it is with an 1808 stacked on it. (You can't see depth very well, but it is a little thinner) Edited by oggy 10/01/2017 5:47 pm Report this Post to the Staff
