I called the Mint and was told that my order had already been processed and that I would soon be receiving a tracking number via email. When I asked why I received the email, I was told that it was just a confirmation notice so that I would call and confirm the order due to the time delay. If that's true, it seems like the Mint could send a more appropriately worded email than one indicating that the order couldn't be processed and could be cancelled. I'm not convinced that was the reason - could be a glitch in the system. BTW, The Mint web site shows my order as "Processing." Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! (c) commems. I like the Mint's decision to use the standard silver dollar planchets for the medals vs. the larger one-ounce ASE planchets - it makes for nicely-matched sets. The packaging, as expected, is rather plain (the standard clamshell cases used for other two-coin commemorative sets) but it works. I'm glad I ordered one of each set. Yes, I now have more WWI Centennial proof SDs than I need, but it's a small trade-off in the grand scheme of things. I can't post pictures this evening...maybe tomorrow. BadDog Pillar of the Community United States 1375 Posts	Posted 05/23/2018 2:55 pm Although it was apparently a mistake, it looks like the Mint's email requesting folks confirm their orders resulted in a wave of cancellations. The production report for this week indicated a -2,900 (-4.8%) drop in the total medals ordered. Total medals ordered have now dropped about -8.1% from the peak number that were ordered (62,660 at the peak, and now stands at 57,606). Report this Post to the Staff

Beautifully designed, Very Crisp strikes, No reeded edge on the medals, looks sweet too...... No Pictures, Sorry........... IMO, Keeping the originally packaged sets intact, priceless...........
