For the Trek fans, will it be NCC1701, NCC1701-A, NCC1701-B, NCC1701-C, NCC1701-D, or NCC1701-E

Quote: You can't really blame the RCM for putting out this USS Enterprise shaped coin when people keep buying this type of coin. True. If it sells, keep selling it. The RCM is a business and they know what they are doing for profit it not for numismatics. Quote: For the Trek fans, will it be NCC1701, NCC1701-A, NCC1701-B, NCC1701-C, NCC1701-D, or NCC1701-E You know they will eventually make all six versions. Or eight if you want to have the NCC-1701 and NCC-1701-A from the Kelvin timeline.

Apologies for the Star Trek fans, but with all this variety of the "Star * " coins, I already forgot: was the NCC Enterprise the battleship of the Empire, Rebellion, or the one that appeared in the Alien (1979) movie aka "Nostromo"? Or was it first introduced in the "Chicken Invaders" and only then moved to the Sci-Fi franchise?

I'd love to see it just because of the novelty. I would not consider buying it for the same reason (which include the crazy price).

Somehow I'm not surprised to find this in the Canadian forum. As said, commemorative diarrhea, even if there's nothing to commemorate. Quote: For the Trek fans, will it be NCC1701, NCC1701-A, NCC1701-B, NCC1701-C, NCC1701-D, or NCC1701-E Don't worry, knowing the RCM, they'll make them all. And then a proof version, a gold version, a gold plated version, a 20OZ, a 5OZ, a 1OZ, and a kilo coin, all in silver, one of each of them. With a nice collector's box to keep them all in. Comes in the size of a garage or there won't be sufficient place to do so.

Oh and don't forget the 1/20th OZ ones, they make nice Christmas stocking gifts for the (grand)children.

Looks like the Enterprise coin will be released tomorrow. Already got email from rep saying look for advance notice for Star Trek Coin around midnight.

CC-Ottawa, good point. If you want a start trek model, there is a good one for $15.

I just got the phone call from the mint as well About a new coin (assuming that it's the Enterprise figurine/coin) being released tomorrow. I guess because I haven't bought a lot of coins this year and will not even come close to being a Master club prestige member as I was last year, So now they're trying to reach out by calling me at home to buy their coins. BTW I don't have a rep.
