Only 28 pieces left before it sells out. Wow that is quick.

Quote: Unbelievably, I just received a 'sell-out alert' from my rep.... Significant portion of the mintage has been purchased by the "Germany Private Mint" , may be. They will do different enhancements to this thing and sell by limited portions.

Quote: They will do different enhancements to this thing and sell by limited portions. Does that mean that the original one would go up in value since there would be a small amount of them? I wonder.

Whats next? 1 oz Spock ears? 10 oz Phaser? The never ending Stars In the Galaxy program?

To say honestly, I do think, that this coin (let it be coin) will go bit up in value due very small mintage. But, I think as well, will be very low demand to buy it on the secondary market. Like not many people will rush to buy Glass Lady Bug for CAD 1000, but will hunt for "bargain".

Canadian Coin & Currency also have it. So big deal if it sells out at the RCM. It really means squat if RCM sells out and other dealers still have it. Could be a commissioned coin too. The capsule is nothing special - just a rectangular one. If I do get it I will get it from an dealer outside of BC to save the $85 PST.

I'm sure Bromberg had his greasy little hands in this. Commissioned, Probably.

Not too sure this thing is commissioned, one of the large studios owns the rights to Star Trek. I don't think even Mr. Bromberg has that much power only Scotty has !

@jimper: you're brave, let us know how it is when it arrives. Quote: Whats next? 1 oz Spock ears? 10 oz Phaser? The never ending Stars In the Galaxy program? You seem to get the hang of how the RCM works. Now stop posting instead of giving them ideas. I like to think the Spock's ear will be set at $1 face value, just to show you must be loony between the ears to buy it...

Its awaiting stock now at RCM. It is a faster sell out than the Delta shaped gold coin that people went ga-ga over.
