I bought a 3 coin 1976 Bicentennial set that is missing the capsules for the quarter and half. Can these capsules be replaced without breaking the bank?

Are you talking about Air-Tite capsules? If so,they do not cost much.

Talking about the capsules that came with the OGP set. You have to destroy them to get the coins out, so I doubt you are going to find any original ones that are intact. I am not sure if Air-Tite capsules will fit the holder.

If you're looking for the 1976 OGP capsules, then this could be tough, but you might try Wizard Coin Supply. In this CCF topic Anyone use Air-tite capsules. Looking for suggestions. they said

Just to round out the capsule discussion, the capsules used by the US Mint for Proof Silver Eagles, Commemoratives, etc. are actually different from all of the above. We do buy them of the second hand market from slabbers and dealers and make them available for folks who need replacements due to scratches, broken, etc.

WCS was probably referring to the capsules the Mint currently uses (they're different from the capsules of 40 years ago), but then again, if someone got the coins out without destroying the capsules then WCS may have them. It might be worth a shot sending them an e-mail and asking.
