That's just too much fluff for ASE's. It's a selling promotion because of eye appeal - Just get a Dansco ASE album for around 25$ - they are protected and look great!!

Mark - I appreciate your comment, but I'm still interested in something of that nature. A nice wood finished ( not the fake particle board crap ), draw based case that can hold maybe 9 or 12 coins per draw.
I meant the round air-tite styled containers of course like the proofs come in.

I buy ex British Royal Mint screw seal acrylic capsules at 50 cents each, and put them in ex proof coin presentation boxes, also originating from The Royal Mint. The boxes can be had for a dollar each. Both the clear acrylic screw capsules and the boxes are readily available from my LCS. Total cost? $1.50 The combination makes a nice way of storing and displaying double eagles. The obvious alternative for an American collector is to just summit your best ASE's for TPGrading, but would the return shipping and grading fees justify the cost, based on the value of the coin? If for single coins or for whole collections, if using wood just be sure that resins in the wood will not be a problem. Having noted that, museums have been using timber cabinets for the storage of coins for centuries.

I have this one, you have to buy 4 trays, (they also have 2 tray boxes), so your up around $80 with the trays. They look nice and the capsules fit nice in the black velvet. you can also mix and match the trays. http://www.coinsupplyexpress.com/gu...lay-box.htmlIf you shop on Labor Day, put in the code LABOR20 for a 20% discount...

Bump - everyone has their own requirements and IMO, none are more right or wrong than each other's, just different.
I want a nice display case so I can view them as I walk into the room I put them in. A good portion of the reason I'm buying them is because of their beauty, as well as the potential investment side of it.
I guess for me, it would be like buying a fine sculpture, but then storing it in a closet, and only being able to appreciate it's beauty on the occasion when I decide to clean the closet... lol
I'm also look at the potential of a glass front, glass shelf display so I don't even need to open a drawer...
Just me maybe, but I'm ok with it...

These presentations are excellent. If I had a walk-in vault, I'd be all over these kind of wooden cases! For my ASEs I use CAPS albums. I would love to do something like these wooden cases for my ATB pucks.
