Quote: Yeah I'm kind of shaking in my boots too. My guy is from another country and collects stuff that I have no inventory of. I usually buy via auction but the stuff he collects will take time to find. I would not worry about that. Every year that I've participated in this exchange, I have received nice things that have nothing to do with what I collect, and I like that just fine. I like to think that the item says something about the person who sent it and what they enjoy, and I love broadening my horizons.

Quote: Just in case my Santa is struggling with ideas, send something you collect and tell me why. I am an easy to please and this should be fun, not stressful. Well said, and same goes for me. Already a couple of nice gifts posted here. Love it! I'm still working on getting mine sent out; this past week has been nuts with work.

Somehow, I just realized that I'm not limited to sending a single "catch-all" item. That makes it much easier! Variety is the spice of life. It's interesting that some of the gifts received have revealed the sender's identity. I'm on the fence about it. What do others think?

My Secret Santa gift was mailed Friday. I left a few subtle clues so the recipient can figure out who their Santa was...

It's up to the giftee to reveal or not reveal if Santa includes identifying info, but if the Santa don't want recognition they don't have to include their forum name. I don't really have an opinion on it one way or the other. If my Santa provides info, I give credit.

I thought about not revealing my name, however supposing the package gets lost in the post, can't be delivered or the recipient has made a mistake when sending their address ?
You might think that's unlikely but two of my clients quite often type the wrong house number.
If I don't put a return address on the package, the postie can't return it to me !

I received my secret santa gift and it was superb! Numerous type coins, a very nice morgan, a wheat roll, and to top it off a large cent that now resides as the oldest coin in my collection! I am so thankful for the generosity of my secret santa. Thanks so much, you did great!!!

Gift is enveloped and ready to go out in the post tomorrow. It's going international, so I hope it finds its way safely and correctly.
