Being as large as that, it is some kind of debris that is between the copper platingvand zinc which has caused a chemical reactive force not normally seen. Whatever it was, is chemically reacting quickly into expanding gasses. Most likely was and organic substance, hair, sweat, spit, something moist was trapped. "Dry" dust and lint causes smaller blisters.

A good example of blistering. It might be interesting to see if the shape changes over time or expands.
