cwb Pillar of the Community United States 3463 Posts	Posted 10/24/2017 10:16 am to the form! In 1987, the mint marks were added to the dies by hand, after the die was made. If it were a doubled die, the doubling wouldn't be the same on the mint mark as it is on the rest of the design. There are doubled dies that exhibit Mechanical Doubling also, but the difference is clear. Report this Post to the Staff
