Passed up a few flawless ones for this one. Really like the color. What do you grade it at?

63 RB. Why would you pass up a great coin for a good coin? I realize money might be an issue, but I'd rather have fewer coins and better examples.

Thanks Frog and mox. Wasn't the money, I just like the colors. Unique compared to a gem in my opinion.

This purplish color will usually get you a BN, which essentially means "mostly toned".

Nice coin. I'll take that one over a generic looking 65 Red any day!

You see wildly-colored Indian cents in TPG MS holders all the time, and they're inevitably designated BN, even though there's not a trace of brown. I have always thought they should either change the BN category to TN (toned) or add TN as a separate category.

In my honest opinion you should have went for the flawless one instead . The strike is not bad , but I dislike the fields on both sides . 63BN is all I can do .

Great color, beautiful coin!

Appears to have a lot of field chatter. 63BN

I love the color, but I'm not going over MS61BN for it. There's so much chatter I could see a TPG actually forcing it into a circulated grade - it nearly rises to the level of "damage."

I'm with superdave on this one. so much chatter all over the coin. you can find much better examples if you look. if I could not afford a clean MS example I would look for a high-AU piece

Lots of chatter, right, but greatly magnified in these images. It's clearly uncirculated, and I'll stick with 63BN.

I think you may be correct COinfrog, after taking a closer look at the reverse the coin may be MS, however, I'm not going higher than MS62BN due to heavy chatter
