Nice collection!

I liked this part of your post:

3. The 2007 Non-Magnetic cent may be the most underappreciated coin in the entire series. It was nearly impossible to find in MS-67. It has been discussed elsewhere in this forum, but I am a believer that the mintage figure greatly overstates the number of 2007 dated zinc cents.

I still haven't found a 2007 zinc penny myself;

I agree that most dealers don't even bother with the newer pennies, and it's a shame.

I noticed that you neglected to mention anything about this one - which I thought was issued for circulation (maybe you can help me figure this one out?)
2010-steel

Do you have a 2007-zinc penny for sale?

Hi unruhjohnny, thanks for the comment.

When it comes to the 2010 I am of the opinion (and have seen it echoed elsewhere) that the 2010 magnetic cent was never issued for circulation. I think ICCS may have certified one or two, but I tend to believe that they were likely mis-attributed. If you don't care for the distinction between Mint State and NBU, you can get them in certain mint sets.

I do have a 2007 zinc (and in MS-67!), but I plan to hold it until the market realizes what it's worth.

I did double check, and it looks like my "want" list was out of date - I do in fact have a zinc 2007, but it has zero original luster, and is probably one of the crummier looking post (oh lets say) '00 pennies that I have, so an upgrade would be nice.
I am absolutely about collecting circulation stikes (I am not sure what NBU means, but I'm guessing it's a strike for a set).
Thanks for sharing your opinion on the 2010 steel penny.

I have a complete set in my Dansco. Not as nice as Yours.
The only trouble the newest hole is 1967. Also Canadian coins are hard to come by here

I should get some extra pages to add the 1968 and newer or a QEII album.

Hi guys, great collection!

I also have a question about the 2010 magnetic (CPS) one cent. The Charlton guide states the 2010 magnetic cent was "struck for sets" only.

So which mint sets are 100% guaranteed to contain the magnetic cent?

Any other helpful suggestions how to obtain this coin would be appreciated.

Thanks!

This particular set has the magnetic cent every time. You can see the information card in the third photo indicates the cent is plated steel.

I believe other sets had the 2010 magnetic cent as well, but I don't recall which ones, or whether it was distributed in every set, or just some of them.

Thanks skelly423.

According to its information card, the 2010 "Olympic Moments" uncirculated set also contains the CPS one cent.
