coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 11/07/2017 7:02 pm The flattening of the obverse made that impression from what it was hammered against to put the counter stamp on the other side. IE if it was done on sandpaper, then the grains would leave a mark. If if it were on a file, then the lines would show on the reverse. This looks like it was done on concrete for your coin.
