I was at the car wash today and I came across a 1994 quarter, when I have nothing to do on Sundays I go to the car wash just to change some bills. But there on to me because all I get now when I change a 20 is a few quarters and a lot of gold dollars. I still go through them. I also like to get the Mexican dude mad. He just looks but don't say nothing, bye the way I'm Mexican also. But well back to where I'm going with this. I'm not the type to see an error on a coin and yell out to everyone that I found a golden egg but I'm lost with this one I'll be uploading some pics.

Your coin looks like it has environmental damage, no error.

Please don't type in all CAPS.

Ernesto!

What I think you're asking is about the rim, right? It looks like it took a bath in acid, eats the copper away Quicker. Like this?

BTW, High Scholl science class projects too...

No problem. Crazyb0 pointed out specifically why I said environmental (or intentional) damage. The center of the edge is sunken in because something acidic ate away the copper core faster than the outer copper-nickel cladding layers. It could have been from an acid bath (intentional) or from being buried in acidic soil (environmental).

Keep searching and do ask any questions that may come up!

@ernsto23, first welcome to CCF. Second, I agree with the others that your coin was treated with acid. It is interesting, so keep it if you want, but it is only worth face value.
