It's in rough shape, but I'm pretty sure I just found a zincoln with no copper plating. Could this just be someone's science experiment, and if not, does it still have any value in this condition?

Still a bit brownish/red, just that the zinc rot, (deterioration when zinc core is exposed) has come on like gang-busters! Another coin to soon be relegated to the Coinstar reject tray!

To answer your question, this is more likely a released prisoner of a car cupholder or one that spent its life outdoors.

Or an altered coin from youtube videos. Happens a lot. People trying to make their own errors to sell to the gullible new collectors on ebay.
