They are copies of biblically significant coins. The first and third coins are copies of Judaean "widow's mites" from about the lifetime of Jesus. Second is a "tribute penny", a denarius of Tiberius. Fourth is a copy of a coin of King Herod.
It probably would have been impossible to tell whether they were genuine or not while encased in a slab of plastic.
