Slowing making a pile of possible foreign coins. Not sure what to do with them.

Just seeing how many active error collectors we have here.

I am a passive collector of foreign errors. That is, if I notice one in a junk box I will pick it up, but I don't make much effort to buy them for anything more than those prices.

I'm in the same boat. If I happen across one, that's cool, but I don't actively seek them.

We(my wife and I) are world coin collectors as well. We tend to buy what we like and yes sometimes we buy world error coins as well. I have never bought a US coin error but world coin errors are a different story. These are very hard to find in our area so we only have a couple.

I was actually looking at a coin on vcoins a couple nights ago. It would've been our 1st online purchase of an error. Passed on it though, but it does have a descent die crack on the obverse.

I recently found the 1978 1 Ruble Moscow Kremlin; error on the clock. Not sure if this a common coin error or listed as a variety now.

I've noticed LOTS of overdates on Colombia coins.

I have 3 South African 3d coins that have doubling on part of the date.
I can't tell whether the date was repunched or recut.
They are just something I found years ago and kept.

Of more interest to me is a 2002 2-euro coin with two clips.
The clips are small BUT do cause a mismatch where the center and rim meet.

And die cracks! I seem to like them better than most. Too bad they are of low interest.

I'm kinda like a passive error collector. I pull them out when I sort my coins. Probably have about 50-60, mostly die cracks and de-laminations.

I haven't posted in this forum for awhile now since switching over to Global Currency errors and posting them on Facebook and Twitter.

I just wanted to share some pics of a previous post on some India error coins I submitted to ANACS about 15 years ago, and as I unpack the coins, I'll try and post them here.

I've been collecting coins over 50 years, and when ebay entered my life 20+ years ago, I sold everything and focused on Error Coins & Currency.

My primary focus was on USA at first, then when ebay sales were selling over retail, I moved over to the Global Market as many errors can be had at a fraction of what the same type error would be on U.S. errors.

(These are some of the photos stored here on CCF)

I had this certified as being Broadstruck around 15 years ago at the ANACS Table, and after receiving the 2016 India Coin Errors book, believe the reverse side matches the 'Counter-Brockage' photos.

This also matches the 'Counter-Brockage' Photos in the India Errors Book (The photos in this reply are from a earlier post, and will be posting pages from the book when time permits).

The above is just a small sample of my Global Error Coins and after posting some Currency errors & a Census on rare Web-Press Error Notes, I hope to remove my other Error coins from storage & post here.

And the only Triple Serial Number Error Note to ever enter circulation.
The 3rd set of serial numbers had been printed over the Inspectors Rejection Marks.
Coin World article from Feb.2009 has yet to locate a second example to date.

I recently joined Twitter and have been posting my errors there, if anyone is interested my username is "Broken_Coin_Guy" , and currently looking for others that enjoy Global Errors,

I like to see error coins and have a few that have come my way by accident (that is, I didn't buy them as error coins) but I've never bought a coin knowing it had an error.

Collecting foreign errors is lots of fun. You get to chat with and deal with collectors/dealers from all over the world.

I've been collecting (and now) selling dramatic double strikes, brockages, and off centers for many years.

I recommend it,
Bill

As an OFE(CCC)* collector, I will grab any major error that comes my way.

(CCC)* = Country Century Culture.

Hi sel_69l,

I still have some very rare and unusual crown-sized foreign errors left, but just can't keep everything forever.
I'll write to you privately and see if we can get together on big prices. (Others are invited to chime in).
