Need Help On A 1988 Lincoln Cent (Cracked Planchet?)

KembotMo Valued Member Philippines 135 Posts	Posted 01/05/2018 02:57 am hello again everyone need help again in identifying an error. i see a crack near the rims obverse & reverse. thanks i also see a line bottom left corner of the Lincoln memorial. would it be a die crack? spru Bedrock of the Community United States 12477 Posts	Posted 01/05/2018 03:35 am The line coming from the lower left corner of the Memorial is a die crack. On the obverse, there is a concentric "ridge" near the rim that is caused by die wear (deterioration). I believe what you see between about 2 and 5 o'clock is split plating caused by that ridge. There is also clear split plating on the reverse and I think the "crack" to the WNW is associated.
