The proofs are so nice, but seem to cost 10X the MS coins. I guess that is not so unusual. Suppose I need at least one, LOL!

jstav, You would be surprised to see how inexpensive the proof Franklin's are especially from 1958 to 1963. Cameo proofs are much more expensive.

Thx Muddler! I have at least one proof, and it was only $9 for a 1962. I did actually mean the cameo (and ultra cameo?) variants, so very nice, I'll have to save my money to get one like yours. Thanks for making this thread, because I got into coin collecting once again due to buying some bullion Franklins, and then figuring what the heck complete the circulated set. Now I'm doing uncirculated one at a time.

two_tonevf35!, love that coin, I'm looking for something similar. The toning is attractive on yours, but most I see have unattractive toning (to me.)

Yep.. those "CAM" and especially "DCAM" Franklins can get REALLY expensive, especially in the older years. But, boy do they look SWEET when they are DCAM. Just gorgeous coins. I'm just sticking to a Franklin set with good old "Regular Proofs", but I am keeping my eye open for a real nice DCAM Slab that I may hang onto for my "slabbed collection" of 'extras'.. Just have to be careful, because any "milk spots" really show up on DCAMs.. even worse then on regular proofs. Michael
