It looks like a fake ancient coin. Then again who knows.

It looks to be a modern reproduction of the Roman emperor Gordian III.

I agree that it seems to be a reproduction. The lettering is too erratically different to what you'd expect and the reverse figure is very crudely drawn.

Here's one that looks a lot more convincing. The reverse of your coin may have been copied off this one, or one very much like it - the die cracks and flaws around the "C" in COS appear to be identical. Except, of course, the obverses don't match: yours has the radiate crown on an antoninianus, not the wreath of a denarius.
