Errers and Varietys - sweet finds! I don't know if my eyes are good enough to ID the initials on a penny anymore :( Charons obol - I don't think I know what this variety is (1968-s fs). I looked online, and couldn't find anything. But congrats! CoinHuntingDrew the 1983 DDO is something I never found. I and I must have returned over 3 million zincs to the bank (copper sorting) Great finds all, and Happy Hunting!

Hello. I'm new to the forum! Just wanted to drop a reply as this seemed like a cool thread. I was in another state, and I got 10 customer penny wrapped rolls. In them I found 18 dimes and a 1937 wheatie. That is my oldest find yet. Emphasis on the yet. Thanks!

I don't know how/why this thread went dormant for so long... Given what I've found the past 4 1/2 years, I thought it was time for a revival... My hoard of 450 silver dimes from early 2021 definitely would be my #1 now... 9 solid rolls I got from one of my banks amongst 47 total rolls purchased in two trips... I've also found three hoards of old Jefferson nickels this year including one with lots of BU key and semi-key dates and another which included a 1939-S and half a roll of semi-key dates... and another single roll of silver dimes... How about the rest of you? Have you improved your best ever find over this time?

When you consider the find rate for V nickels is somewhere in the neighborhood of 1 per 100K coins from what I've seen, finding a V nickel ender is like a one in TWO million find, tencentpenny! Quote:

Thanks, guys... indeed that find of mine from two years ago is a rare bird. Sadly, the teller who I had that particular good experience with is no longer with the company as of a couple of months ago.

It was definitely an amazing find, it was in a box of nickels from 2018. I could not believe it when I opened the box and saw that ender. Also I have not found an Indian Head cent for a long time. I am hoping to find an IHC soon.
