Good question but we need guidance on categories.

I was originally thinking US, but any coin that has an official mintage will do!

Off the top of my head, my lowest-mintage coin is an 1878-CC Trade dollar, 97,000 minted. Someone in our family (I think on my grandmom's side) kept a box of old coins and this was one of them.

Sorry I don't have any pix. But suffice to say it's not a looker. Probably in VG-F condition but very dark and blotchy with several gouges--not chopmarks.

Interesting observation from dealer Jack Beymer: "I've handled more 1794 dollars than 1878-CC Trade dollars."

Today I just purchased a 1876 Swedish 2 Kroner which only had a mintage of 370K which I believe is my new lowest. It is in the mail soon. Thanks Mister Kairu.

I think these two would be the coins with the U.S lowest original mintage in my collection:

1804 Draped Bust Quarter: 6738 according to the RedBook

1836 Half Dollar with Reeded Edge: 1200+ per RedBook.
Probably as high as 5000

1964D Jefferson nickel.

I did some calculamisations, and if I own one 1942 Type 2 proof (27,600 minted), to have an equal percentage of business strikes for 1964-D, I need 64,757 more (than one). Interestingly, that equates to $3,237.85 in 1964-D nickels to acquire the same percentage of mintage (at face value).

This means absolutely nothing, but I enjoy the comparisons.
