This has to be one of the worse Limes Denarius that I've seen. Why would you want to buy this? By definition Limes denarius are coins struck on the fringes of the empire and used to pay the troops. They resemble official issues from Rome but have very little silver an are lighter than official issues. Don't waste your money, Limes denarius are not rare.

Hey Imajakov. I've actually bought stuff from that guy before and it was real. Obviously he knew this because this is what he put in the description for the coin:
"This is a cast limes denarius that looks like it was made in a hurry because it was very crudely made. However, it retains a nice touch since the reverse is rare."

So this piece is bronze? it looks more like silver or tin or along those lines--
could it be an ancient fake?

This one is most likely a fake.

Quote: could it be an ancient fake? Extremely unlikely because otherwise the edge would gotten worn down and rounded over the centuries. My best guess is that it was made in 2017 AD.

My best guess is that it was made in 2017 AD. I feel sorry for the poor SOB who bought that POS. The rest of the items of that seller ( silver_denarius) on E-bay appears to be genuine tho. But not that one that's for sure. Imajakov, how much was it going for before it was sold when it first caught your eye?
