I have a 1947 Nickel that seems to be a DDO. Its on "GOD WE TRUST", "LIBERTY", and "1947" date. Please, let me know your thoughts. I tried to post the best pictures in which you can see the doubling or "split serif" and "notches" on the upper corners of "WE"/"TRUST"/ and "TY" on the word Liberty. The 1947 almost looks like it has doubling on the "4" and "7" as well? On "D" in GOD you can see a serif line taking place. This of coarse is my own observation. Thank you for youR input in helping me....

MD and Die Deterioration both, see the rotational bounce, plus if were to see whole coin would note a slight MAD or tilted die which causes that line through letters/devices near rim, caused by pressure differences across face of die. These can be hard to determine but remember that the effects of Die Deterioration move outwards toward the rim. MD ALWAYS reduces the devices original size, sometimes extremely slight as here but it has cut into the devices. The rotation has actually "smeared" the device as it moved in a CW direction causing the perceived notching which is what had caught your eye!
