Austria 1860 Quarter Florin With Partial Mintmark

Here's a recent acquisition.

This series has a mintmark A,B, E, M or V under the emperor's bust.

Obverse

Under high magnification it looks vestigial and it's not clear what it is.
Another curious thing is that directly below the mintmark on the inside of the toothed border is a very faint cross (which appears to be part of the design)!

Under lower magnification, it might be the tops of a V mintmark.

1. Is this what the V mintmark top should look like ?
2. Do you think it's a different mintmark ?
3. Can you show me a coin in the same series with a V mintmark ?
4. Does a cross appear below the mintmark on other coins ?

@pertinax, it certainly looks like the top part of the letter V to me. Sorry but my only Austrian coin with this portrait of Franz Joseph I is a Florin from 1861 (mintmark letter A). Not much use comparing letter shape, but at least gives you an idea for the mm location and the lack of a similar cross underneath.

Yep, that's a V mintmark for Venice!
Nice coin, worth around 30-50 $.
