What a nice find for me! Found in a new roll of Minnesota quarters, one with the obverse clad layer missing. The pretty red copper middle layer right there! Wonder how much this is worth?

Hi fjrosetti

Can you post a pic ?

This type of error caries a good premium, but needs to be authenticated and graded,, to maximize value,,

State Quarter errors are indeed very sought after. Coins with the clad layer missing on the reverse are the most sought after, but depending on grade, you can expect somewhere in the neighborhood of $100 and up. I have seen some (MS-63+) in the mid to high $300 range.

Certification is mandatory.

Sorry, no photo possible, but certainly will be sending this in to ANACS for authentication and grading. Expect a nice grade, perhaps MS63 or 64.

Cool! I've found partial missing clad layers before but never a complete one. Let us know what it comes back as!
