Hello,
Could I ask some opinions as to the grade of this 1872 Liberty Seated dollar, please? Thank you in advance.
Jim

I'm no expert but I would put it in the EF40 range. If it showed some mint luster maybe a little higher. The rim damage will bring the grade and value down a little more.I see some wear on Miss Liberty's cheek & other high points.

Overall,EF40 with rim dings/damage.
Rest in Peace

I think the coin has nice eye appeal compared to others I have seen, even with the scuffs. It would like very nice in my type set! :-)

jesbroken, welcome to the forum!

I think this dollar has EF-45 detail, borderline AU. The unfortunate dings and scuffs will have some effect on its value.
