1901 S Barber Quarter? - Coin Community Forum

It is very worn and would only make AG but if it is an S I think it would be worth having slabbed. The pictures not perfect but what do you think? Report this Post to the Staff

The mintmark on Barber quarters and halves is well-protected by the adjacent design elements. It is usually obviously present even when the coin is even more worn than yours. Of course, if you do have a 1901-S quarter it is well worth having it slabbed, in any condition. Report this Post to the Staff

The two known die varieties of this date both have (with minor positional diffrences) the mont mark between the R (of Quarter) and the D (of Dollar). It could not be an S.
