Hey everyone, just found another and it looks like the mint mark is in the wrong place. Is it a real error or just an oddity? Thanks!

Until 1990, mintmarks were punched into the individual dies by hand, so there will be some variation in the exact location of the mintmark. Basically, as long as it was under the date, it was the correct place for the mintmark on a cent. Your coin shows it a bit higher than usual, but still in the correct area. I think the only time these are worth anything extra is if it is actually touching the date.

So would this one apply as touching? Also the S mint mark looks thicker than normal. And is it worth anything? Thank you.
