Hey Guys; As new as this coin is, I'm thinking mint damage and even a little doubling here and there. Hopefully I'm beginning to recognize the difference a little better. The entire rim has been ground on as if it had been bouncing around loose. What do the experts say?
It looks like it was used in a game of "Pitch the coin". A game we use to play when I was a kid. Standing about 10 feet from a wall you would pitch the coin towards the wall and whom ever was the closet to the wall would win all of the coins tossed. A leaner was an automatic win. The down side is it really took its toll on the coins.
