I was needing some help on this Lincoln Cent. I have looked at the examples of the DDO4, and this coin looks like the examples, that I have looked at. The coin has dye scratches and marks like the examples, and some minor doubling also. I know photos are not the best and photo are hard to determine depending on what angle you take the picture, but let me know what you think. I appreciate any and all help.

Just a normal coin. I see no hub doubling.

Sorry @jarr99, but I'm with @coop on this one. Here is a link to a prior discussion of this DDO:

That line was for the 1972S-1DO-004. Not the same die. Seems like when someone finds a date and looks at prices for varieties, the say it is a certain die number because they want it to be that coin. 1969-S same thing. But most of the time they are seeing Machine Doubling.

No problem Spence.

On the 1972 markers don't mean a thing, unless the hub doubling is present. So variety first, markers to identify what die stage it is in second. Can't go the other way. That would be like thinking I know there was Rolls Royce with a dent in the fender. So you find a car with a dent in the fender, and can you assume it is the Rolls Royce. Find the variety first, markers secondary. Coins are struck in an order that is the same each time. over and over. So some markers will show up over and over. So unless you have the variety, then you can look for the markers to identify die stage.
