I received my
Magnificent Bald Eagles coin this week and have to say that it is spectacular!
Tony Bianco, the artist responsible for the design, created a terrific view of an eagle convocation and the engraving staff at the
RCM did an outstanding job in transferring the design to coinage dies.
In hand, the details of the design/engraving jump off the coin and the different levels of frosting used on the proof coin for the eagles' brown feathers vs. white feathers add a wonderful dimension to the coin.
It's nice to see the
RCM turn out a traditional, unadorned silver coin that excels in its presentation. I'm glad I ordered one! It will take a lead position in my collection of silver bald eagle coins from the
RCM.
