The cent in this instance appears to be gold plated, and perhaps less encased than just stuck on. You'd be lucky if this monster didn't wear a hole in your pants pocket.

This one appears to have been issued as a Fuller Brush Company promotion, possibly of a sales contest. This example is certainly less than pristine. It looks less like it was carried in a pocket than it kicked around in a tool or tackle box.   Also, I owe Circus an apology, for some reason I missed that he'd already posted one of those "American currencies" medals made by American Mint. Mine also has the paperwork with it, in my case bearing number 00651.

A 1959d LMC encased with the text, " FROM THE CHARRED RUINS OF ST MARY'S CATHEDRAL". With a little research I believe it came from a church in San Francisco that was destroyed in a fire in 1962. One of these days I will put it in an envelope to mail it back home.
