A barometer of how well a coin will do is looking at dealer inventories. It is irrelevant if the RCM sells out the coin.

So I looked at all the dealer inventories. All of them have stock one day after public release day. Gatewest Coins have a limit of 5 coins per customer. Colonial Acres had 3 coins yesterday and they still 3 coins today. Canada Post, The Coin Shoppe, CC&C, TSC, London Coin, West Edmonton Coins all have stock. Not a single dealer has sold out of the coin. Contrast that with the UFO coin which was sold out by end of the first day of public release.

So all indications show this is not a flipper coin. Buy it if you like it but it will not double or triple in price like the UFO coin.

, nice one

The RCMs coin is the first in the history for this character.

Soldout or not - the collectors will proudly display it.

And actually the signed COA - this one already soldout.
Thanks to ebay sellers, the coin collectors non-MC and all the Captain Canuck fans, had opportunity to get it.

@ Jackalope

I'm not surprised. As the RCM says, it's a perfect coin for Captain Canuck comic book fans! I like to congratulate all the peeps that got in on this coin as it is truly Canadiana. As it's Captain Canuck's first time ever to appear on a coin, I am pleased that I got my signed certificate coin and can't wait to get it in hand. For the peeps that didn't get one on the RCM site, well you know you can always get it on the second market for a bit more. I wonder if there will be a follow up on Captain Canuck coins in the future. Fun Coin!

If the Captain Canuck coin received as much media attention as the Falcon Lake coin did, this would have been sold out already. Me thinks RCM should rethink their marketing strategy with each monthly release by highlighting one Canadian Icon coin. This "leader" would attract more newcomers to the RCM's website which could possibly result in more sales for them with their other products as well.

By the way....remember that the signed certificate Captain Canuck coin, with only 1500 sold out within two to three days and never made it to the public nor dealers.
