Royal Canadian Mint - Enhanced by an antique finish, each of your coin's reverse is a reproduction of a pre-Confederation circulation coin from one of the four provinces of Atlantic Canada. All four bear reverse designs by Leonard Charles Wyon, and are based on decimal coins authorized by the colonial governments between 1861 and 1871. In addition, each of your coin's obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.

But they are not reproductions... with the exception of the NFLD 5c, the reverses have been "modernized" into a bilingual coin...

If they were reproductions, the NS, NB, and PEI cent would have been struck in bronze and of the actual original mint specifications in terms of size. The NFLD 5-cent should be struck in .925 silver...

A 2 ounce silver NS cent is not very appealing to me... the whole set is unappealing...

Forcing the bilingual names on them takes away something. I prefer owning the originals, especially New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, which in my opinion are nicer on both the obverse and reverse than the Canadian large cents.
