Recently, a co-worker of mine, went to Guatemala for vacation.While He was there, He stopped by the bank and picked up some coins for My collection.Which I thought was pretty nice of Him.

I really like how their more modern coinage pays homage to the designs of the 1920's through 60's :)

I've been to Guatemala recently. Basically the only coin in circulation there is 1 quetzal (which equals about 13 US cents) , but that is also usually replaced by 1 quetzal bill. Only in a bigger supermarket I got 25 centavos in change, just for the curiosity I asked for 1 and 5 centavos and it took a while for cashier to find a 5 centavos coin..

So,Your telling Me they have a smaller coin than the 5 centavos? Wow!I thought the 5 centavos was small.

yes they do have 1 centavo, which is smaller in terms of denomination but not in terms of size. however 1 centavo is basically non-existing in circulation (since it is worth around 0,13 US cents...).
