Finally got out detecting for a few hours for the first time this year. No silver... yet! But, I got off to a good start with a few wheaties!

My first out I found 5 wheaties. My buddy hit a gorgeous AU 20-D Mercury.

Cool finds. Did you do anything special to clean those off or did they come out of the ground that nicely? The ground near me is not kind to copper so it's tough for me to make them presentable even to spend.

They came out of the ground like that. Ran a little water under them to get the stuff in the corners. Dirt up here in Minnesota(at least where I am at) is super nice to copper.

Ah you're lucky then. I actually found a '35 wheatie myself a few weeks ago but it's a bit corroded. Same with a dateless large cent. It's almost just a hunk of copper

They look nice, especially for being in the ground.

Very nice. I always like seeing what people dig out of the ground.
