I know, right? Ugh... Someone loved them. I came across them at an antiques fair.

I have had them for years...

Here they are. The second photo shows them in the bags (which are over 2-inches thick). There might be 4,000 or 5,000 of these things.
That is quite the stash!

I do need to remind of the Buy/Sell/Trade Rules.

I understand, but I am not attempting to sell them (but I can see why you may think that because of my comment that they need a new home; if I can go back and edit this out I will [edit: I did this]).

I have been exploring the forum since joining a couple of days ago. I happened on this thread and thought I would share a bunch I bought at an antiques show (at my spouse's urging). After hauling them around all day and lugging them home, she looked at only a few and they have been in the basement since. She has not time for them, and I have no interest.

I'm not here to cause problems; I will stop posting about them so that there are no further transgressions. I have also turned the ability for forum members to send me email back off. Apologies for the trouble.

No worry! The reminder was more a warning for everyone to avoid this going too far.

If you want to offer them for free, we can accommodate that, we just post it in the Contest, Quiz, and Giveaway forum.

I might be persuaded to donate some of them if the process is better explained.

Just offer them up in a post. "Free to a good home." You can make it in a reply to this topic and I can split it out for you if that helps.

By no means do I want to pressure you to do a giveaway though. If you can give them away or even sell them locally that would probably be better for you. Less effort required on your part.

Ok, I must admit that I'm not sure why I still pick these things up, but here is a relatively new purchase of mine from the Mob Museum in Vegas. This was the first machine I've seen where you didn't need two (or three) quarters and a penny. Rather, it took dollar bills and supplied its own cent for the pressing. I chuckled at the inscription HAPPY DAYS ARE BEER AGAIN, with a reference to the date of Prohibition being repealed. One of these days, I'll write up my visit in the evergreen museum thread.

Here is another image of a polar bear, but this elongated cent was made at the Roger Williams Park Zoo. Hope everyone out there is staying warm tonight!
