are 1950-d nickels highly counterfited I want to buy one uncertified I know they are not expensive but I still dont want to buy a fake one thanks

Given the affordable price, I would be less concerned with counterfeits.

Highly unlikely since a lot of these were saved and exist in uncirculated conditon.

Actually you might come across conterfeit nickels. Somebody in Canada made a whole bunch of conterfeit nickels. I'm still dumbfounded in why he made counterfeit nickels. How many nickels he made I dont know that answer. There might be a story about it on the internet somewhere.
