i have a 2008 Lincoln Penny that has a glob of extra material on the back of the coin between two of the pillars on the building. I am not really a collector I just came across this coin and a collector friend of mine told me to have it documented, so other people can look for this mistake in other coins. I am basically looking for some information. thanks for your time and thanks if you have some info for me I really would appreciate it.

any chance you could post a picture? it sounds like a die chip but it's hard to say for sure without seeing it.

I also think it sounds like a die chip but again pictures would be needed to confirm/deny that.

That means he has a 2008 penny with a 2007 back with Cud!

It doesn't mean he has a 2008 with a 2007 back. The die chip from ebay looks different than the die chip in the above photo. It's just another die chip at the same place on a different reverse die. Also keep in mind a Cud is at the rim only. I also see the ebay coin was offered for 99 cents and did not sell. This gives you an idea of the value.
