Hello! I am new here and just starting to learn about coins. This 2003 Penny is very interesting. Mint errors or PMD? There are pits and craters on the obverse left. There are bumps near his nose. On his shoulder there is a crater and a bump. The last T in Trust looks like a mint error. On the reverse, is that a Wide AM? The E in E Plurbius looks fatter than usual? Anything I am missing? Many thanks and I Appreciate your help in advance!! Edited by coin-curious 05/17/2018 2:58 pm

to the CCF! What you are seeing is called "Zinc Rot". It is unfortunately common on coins with a zinc core. By your pics it is a closed AM. The cents to look for with a closed am is 1992 business strike. Wide AM, look for these years, 98, 99 and 2000 on business strike cents.

to CCF. The pits and craters are known as zinc rot,not an error. Gas and debris sometimes gets trapped under the copper plating and when the copper layer breaks it causes the zinc to rot. It is a Close AM on the reverse and the E looks like circulation damage. John1

Thank you Jim and John! Is the last T in Trust PMD or mint error?

The more you read, the more you learn. Don't forget the search features. To reach some topics you want to know more about, type in : CoopHome. this bill open some longer threads on carious subjects. It will probably take you to page one, but on page two there is an update of various topics covered. Or if you want to watch videos about coin collecting, on my signature line below you will see different subject you can view on youtube. (1-5) They are about 20 minutes each. I call the videos: "Coin Fishin', what to keep, what to throw back". It not about fishing, but about searching/collecting/what to look for/ various things covered there. Just below this message.
