hmmm, better rephrase that:

If your collection makes you happy, it cannot be "ordinary"

Having just finished the book - which is very interesting.

How do I insure to those on the forum that refer to me as "RG" that I am not Mr. G(ee)

I like my fingers where they are

Ive seen 1930 Australian penny fakes go for over $250 I guess these must fun to keep.
Or they just want to show off they have a 1930 penny to there friends.
Just amazes me

The saddest thing is to make a passable 1930 fake an even rarer coin has to be used. Only the 1931 Dropped 1 Indian die penny has the same obverse and reverse as the 1930 and with an estimate of between 20 and 30 known....

I just would not risk my dollars buying big on a rare predecimal on the net.Only If it was from a reputable seller I would have second thoughts but do not buy from a stranger unless he would be confident that I can have a profesional assesment from my local dealer/s

I dont mind buying the sub $100 coins on the net but the big ticket items I'll be travelling interstate to purchase. I haven't decided if I'll be getting a 3d 21/22 overdate but if I do I hope to do so at auction just for the thrill of it.
