Gerry Fortin took the closeups but I did acquire this coin from him some years ago now and I agree, great example of a repunched and misplaced date/digit. I should send this one in and get it graded and variety designated as I imagine it would add value to the right collector when I am ready to part with it. 1852 F-111 and my favorite holder, an OWH Obverse 9 can be easily identified by die polish lines between the date digits and the denticles and secondly, a flat date punch. Reverse K exhibits numerous minor die cracks as mapped in the reverse die illustration. Report this Post to the Staff
