I liked the looks of this one. It seems to be fairly original and around G6-VG8.

I believe the variety is JR-7 based on T/I alignment and last A in AMERICA almost touching arrows but not fully in contact. However, seller's photos don't let me see well enough the E in STATES to look for the die crack/chip of JR-7, although it may be partially hidden by cruft and circulation wear.

Thoughts & grade appreciated, as always. This almost completes my "small size" basic Capped Bust Dime set from 1828-1837; I need the 1828 SD, then I'll start in on the major varieties, curl base 2 notwithstanding.

Beautiful original surfaces and a strong strike
VG-10 easily
I wonder if there's not enough rim left and detail on the reverse relief to call it F-12
nice pickup

Compared to most of the low grade bust dimes I see that tend to have the reverse partially or entirely gone, this one looked like a better than average coin for its grade. I paid $29 which I think is probably slightly below market value but not too far off.

VG-10, may just make F-12. Love the dark patina.
