Looks crustier than my grandma's fried chicken. Definitely has some strike issues. vf-30

That is one cool coin, and as noted by MikeF, the 'striking' strike issues noted on the reverse. Old cleaning, retoning nicely, VF+

I'm seeing traces of luster. Assuming this issue is known for a weak strike I wouldn't be shocked by a TPG grade of XF-40.

Thanks everyone for your opinions! I had it at 40, these earlier years are known for weak strikes which can make grading them a coin toss sometimes.

Since the reverse weakness appears to be strike related rather than wear I'll go with XF, maybe even -45.
