These units were suppressed in 1844. It is an officer button because is a "cascarilla" type (silver sheet covering base metal). v. Report this Post to the Staff

'Imagine' this guy was running through my finca nearly 200 years ago, got snagged on a tree, and lost a button... Can't find any links or info on these buttons, any ideas?
