Wooden1165 Valued Member United States 54 Posts	Posted 06/20/2018 2:44 pm Ok, as for this coin. On my husbands micro scope it looks like a Lincoln's hair isn't attached on his head. My micro scope doesn't really show it to well. Any guesses as to why this is? He has two other 2008 pennies that look to do the same thing. Please help. Report this Post to the Staff

The zinc is exposed and breaking down because the plating was split. So move on to the next coin. Because I'm in no hurry to reach my 30K goal, I'm taking it slow.
