Two jetons (one from Belgium - the same as the jeton posted by Petrus on the previous page; and one from France). Both jetons are somehow related to each other via the "treaty of the Pyrennees" (signed Nov. 1659) bringing peace at last after 30 years of war between Spain and France. France was clearly the winner of this conflict, gaining territory in the South (Roussillon and surroundings) and North (parts of the Spanish Netherlands, like Arras, Thionville, Gravelines). Jeton 1 Dugniolle 4160 shows the Spanish Emperor, Philip IV Jeton 2, made in France (Feuardent 12561) symbolizes the marriage between the young Louis XIV and Marie Therèse of Spain, daughter of Philip IV Below a beautiful painting of the treaty ceremony (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treat...he_Pyrenees) on the left we see Louis XIV and the French delegation, on the right Philip IV and the Spanish representatives; behind Philip his daughter the treaty was signed on a small island at the border between France and Spain that would remain a Spanish/French co-dominion; for some time

@jgenn, lovely set of 1660 coins from some places we haven't seen! Also, since have occasionally commented on hair, beard, moustache, we can see that the Jan Kasimir schillings of 1661 and later (@spence and my 1661 posts) also have the one long curl of hair down the neck, like the Louis XIV busts. I have no doubt which king copied this hair style from the other

Quote: I very much agree!! Very good point @tdz and @petrus. My fave from @jgenn's group of 1660's coins was that Klippe from Münster.
