okiecoiner Pillar of the Community Canada 5594 Posts	Posted 06/24/2018 12:05 pm These coins are ones that I had as culls and gave to Don for something to look through that was Canadian (New Zealand is not the ideal place to find/locate Canadian coinage). I use them as golf ball markers, after cleaning and then some Brasso to get them light enough to see on the green. I give them to friends with dates that are 100 years from their birth year. Don is cleaning them all, so I think that is where the color comes from ... some of the 50 or so that I sent were quite dirty/worn. Anything that I find that is VG or low-F, I just put in a jar, after looking to see if it is a scarce variety .. I don't care about vanilla varieties in the lower grades. Sorry no. page 318 I be leave Yes I clean the vanilla,s with hot soapy water in a jewellery tank and if more -WD (soaking)with a cotton bud and tissues (not harsh stuff). I am very grateful to receive any in any condition as you see thats 2 that I don't have so far (THANKS OKIECOINER)plus at least 10 have gone into my spares and about half will be given to other collectors of Canada (very few and far between). Still checking and more to go. Also note the die crack R. okiecoiner Pillar of the Community Canada 5594 Posts	Posted 06/24/2018 7:49 pm No, p.318 is a different one that shows more left of the top serif, more at the bottom of the serif and shows well at bottom & right of the 7.
