I don't have the knack like @jerryc39 but I think for $12 this 1846 is pretty decent. Looks like a nice VG. The colors look original underneath the heavy layer of 100 year old gunk and dirt, so I think I'll give it a long Verdi-Care soak and let it be.

(With all the chemists in the world, you'd think someone would have figured out how to clone Blue Ribbon by now!)

VG-10. The gunk should come off with acetone.

VG-10. I agree with IndianGoldEagle that the gunk will come off with an acetone soak.

I have it at vf25-30 if it cleans up. If it doesn't the maybe ED depending on what the dark areas are hiding.

I have it at vf25. the color detracts some as the red contrasts with the darker toned areas. look fwd to seeing after acetone and vc.

I would say you have the knack also! Nice one for the price. VF-20 to 25 seems fair.
